Dear Sir,
We have assembled here to bid farewell on the occasion of your superannuation as Addl. GM (E&M) on 31.07.2026, after rendering meritorious and commendable service to the company.
Born on 27th July 1965 in Adoni Town, Kurnool District of Andhra Pradesh, Sri G. Krishna Murthy inherited the values of hard work, integrity and perseverance from his parents, Late Ganji Achanna, cloth merchant, and Late Ganji Nagamma, homemaker. These values became the foundation of an extraordinary career marked by commitment and excellence in service.
After completing your SSC in 1979–80 and Intermediate in 1980–82 at Adoni Town, you graduated in B.E. Mechanical Engineering from Vasavi College of Engineering, Hyderabad, under Osmania University, in 1983–87. You qualified as a Certified Energy Manager as well as a Certified Energy Auditor in 2013 from the National Productivity Council, Hyderabad, under the seal of the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power, Government of India.
You joined the prestigious SCCL as JET (E&M) on 09.08.1989, with your initial posting at the Coal Chemical Complex (CCC), Srirampur Area — a chemical plant producing coke from coal, later closed and converted into Singareni Polytechnic — where you worked for 8 years in the Operations Department as Shift In-Charge. Thereafter you were transferred to RK-6 Mine, Ramakrishnapur Area, which was merged into Srirampur Area. At RK-6 Mine, you played a vital role in dewatering the entire drowned and developed 4 Seam and 5 Seam for depillaring purposes by drilling a number of inter-seam boreholes, during a tenure of 6 years.
Subsequently you were transferred to Area Workshop, Yellandu, where the Koyagudem OCP Coal Handling Plant installations were carried out during your tenure of 4 years. Thereafter you were transferred to KK-1 Mine, Mandamarri Area, Bellampalli Region. You are the key person in achieving KK-1 Mine's highest SDL production for three consecutive years throughout SCCL UG Mines, and also played a vital role in achieving First Prize for UG Face Machinery among SCCL UG Mines in the Annual Safety Week Inspections, during your tenure of 5 years.
Subsequently you were transferred to Bhupalpalli Area as Group Engineer for the highest number of SDLs (30 Nos.) among SCCL UG Mines groups, i.e. the KTK-1 Group of Mines, and obtained long-pending DGMS approvals for the total HT electrical apparatus in KTK-1 and KTK-2 Mines, working there for 5 years. Thereafter you were transferred to KCHP, Manuguru Area as HOD. At KCHP you successfully planned and completed the total mother plates and wear plates replacement work of the pre-weigh wagon loading system surge hopper without hampering coal dispatches, and you played a key instrumental role in reducing under-loading and over-loading wagon charges to zero — which led to these parameters being included in the SAP Wagon Loading Report for monitoring by the Marketing Department, Hyderabad — and also in achieving the Overall First Prize in the Annual Safety Week Inspections, during your tenure of just two years.
Thereafter you were transferred to Srirampur Area CSP as HOD, where you successfully commenced the EOL Agreement with Railways by establishing separate accommodation and canteen facilities for railway employees, and completed the new pre-weigh wagon loading system of the new stream during your tenure of two years. Later you were transferred to Shanthikhani Project UG Mine and Kasipet-1 & 2 UG Mines, Mandamarri Area as Group Engineer, where you contributed significantly in bringing the Continuous Miner equipment along with its accessory equipment from Shanthikhani Mine underground to the surface, in a tenure of one and a half years.
As a last innings you were posted as In-Charge, Area Workshop, Bellampalli Area, where you rendered your services for two and a half years and played a key role in the annual reduction of electrical power consumption of Bellampalli Area by 35 lakh units, by maintaining unity power factor and adopting energy conservation measures such as providing LED street lights, LED tube lights and energy-efficient ceiling fans in place of conventional ones, and safety enhancement measures such as the provision of separate earth pits for geysers and the replacement of MCBs with RCCBs in colony quarters.
Later, on promotion as AGM (E&M), you were posted to work as Area Engineer (E&M), Bellampalli Area for the last one-year period, where you contributed significantly in reducing the Area Stores and all Pit Stores total inventory by ₹2.5 crore and non-moving items inventory by ₹1.5 crore.
